Make It With Kim - Orchard Jewellery Workshop, Kingswood Estate, Britannia Road, Bristol BS15 8DB
 
This class is designed for students who already have some jewellery making experience and are confident with piercing, filing, finishing and basic stone setting techniques.
 
Morning session
We'll use wax carving techniques to create a ring or pendant design.  You’ll learn how to use a range of tools for wax carving including files, craft knives, sculpting tools and wax pens. You’ll then spend time refining and finishing your pieces ready for casting.

Afternoon session
​We’ll create stone settings in wax, specifically bezel settings for a cabochon stone and flush settings for faceted stones. Stones will be provided or you can bring your own. Please note we will not cover cast in place techniques.

The casting of your pieces is NOT INCLUDED in this class.  At the end of the session you’ll have one or more wax masters that you can either cast yourself or send away for casting (recommendations will be shared at the class)
