It’s no secret that I love a versatile piece of jewellery. Anything that involves bits you can add on/take off as needed to give you lots of different options for wearing a piece always gets a big thumbs up from me.
That’s why I’m really excited to share with you some new earrings that I’ll be adding to the Geometrics collection. These bold handmade recycled silver and gold earrings will be initially launched as a limited edition with three different designs available. I’ve been asking my Instagram community for some ideas on what to call them and they’ve suggested ‘Balance’ and ‘Sonance’ which I think sum them perfectly.

Of the three designs, two are matching pairs of earrings and one is a mismatched pair, all available in polished recycled silver or shiny gold plated recycled silver. They all come on a 15mm hinged hoop earring which has a pleasingly chunky feel to it whilst also being really light and comfortable to wear.
The best bit? The designs work just as well either way around so you can switch them about depending on your mood. Heck, you could even create your own mismatched pair of earrings by flipping one over and leaving the other the right way around.
I was initially inspired to make these after researching Egyptian cartouche pendants worn by the Pharaohs and which featured hieroglyphs placed vertically above each other and enclosed by a line. As you can see my subsequent explorations went down a much more abstract route, but what can I say….I’m always a fan of a bit of bold geometry! I love how the different shapes are ‘stacked’ on top of one another whilst creating a pleasing balance between them.
These new hand crafted earrings will be launching on Friday 29 April and will be initially released as a limited edition. If you’d like to be the first to know when they go live on the website then do join my mailing list (the sign up box is at the top of the page)
