Like any loved and well-worn item your handmade jewellery will start to show signs of wear over time. If you’re anything like me you always start with the best of intentions, but then end up flinging everything off at the end of the day (rather than storing it carefully), losing earrings backs, and horror of horrors showering and sleeping with your jewellery on (the absolute worst jewellery sin of all!).

Does your jewellery need some TLC?
If you’ve ever bought handmade jewellery from me you’ll know that I send out a little care card with each piece, but if you’d like to know more about how you can look after your treasured necklaces, earrings and rings and keep them looking good for longer then a good place to start is my blog post How do I clean my gold & silver jewellery?
Introducing the new Wear, Care & Repair service
If you need a more radical intervention however, then you’ll love my new Wear, Care & Repair service. Whether you’ve snapped a necklace chain or lost a little charm, you can buy replacement parts for all your Elin Horgan Jewellery pieces directly from me. Items on the menu are listed according to product type so you can easily find what you need and all parts include free First Class P&P in the UK.
If you have a piece of my jewellery that requires a little more attention, like a snapped earring post for example, then please do get in touch and I’ll do my best to help. Please note that I only undertake repairs for my own pieces. If you have another piece that requires a repair you’re best off popping into your local high street jewellers to see if they can assist you.
What about gold plated silver pieces?
Gold plated pieces often need a little extra love as the gold plating is a thin layer that can wear off over time. To avoid scratching against other items it's best to keep gold plated pieces in the original box, in fabric pouches or in a compartmentalised jewellery box. If you do need a piece re-plated then let me know. Prices start at £25 depending on the size and shape of the piece.
Ultimately I want you to enjoy wearing your jewellery for a lifetime so if you have any questions about jewellery care or need to buy replacement parts or find out about repairs just let me know via the contact form on the website or by e-mailing info@elinhorgan.com
