Seeing spots: jewellery to wear with the polka dot trend

I love polka dots. I mean REALLY love them. Thankfully this season they’re absolutely everywhere which is, frankly, great news.

Of course the best outfit inspiration comes via Pinterest, with this beautiful vintagey polka dot dress (above, left) that looks just divine. I also came across the most perfect navy polka dot two piece (below, left). Just look at that lovely retro shape!

The best things about spots is that they work in pretty much every colour combination. Personally, I like to keep things monochrome, but as it’s almost summer why not switch it up and go for black spots on white? These cropped trousers from Topshop are ticking all my boxes.

If it’s a top you’re after then this Zara bodysuit (below, left) is ideal, particularly if, like me, you’re a tucker and want to avoid wrinkles.

Or, if you like your polka dots a little more elliptical then check out the Rixo Sheena space age midi dress (below, right) via the fabulous Studio B website. This one’s got everything going for it – beautiful print, gathered waist and gorgeous flared sleeves.

Something this striking can handle statement accessories so why not go for the Vesta hoop earrings in gold or silver ? These earrings pack a serious style punch, but they’re still lightweight and super comfortable to wear.
