Now that the snow has finally gone and Spring is upon us, I’ve been dreaming of sunnier days and a wardrobe overhaul. Where better to start than with the perfect blue shirt? As usual Pinterest has provided oodles of inspiration and I particularly loved the outfit above, styled with blue jeans, sunglasses and a nonchalantly tied scarf.
COS has totally nailed it with this beautiful short sleeved version (below, left), which is also available in white. The A-line shape means it is super flattering if the Easter Bunny has been particularly generous with the chocolate eggs this year.
Mango also has a few good value options like this this soft denim one (above, right) and a more boxy oversize version (below, right). I also love this one from J Crew (below, left) which is made from Irish linen to give it a beautifully worn in look.
So, how to accessorise? Well given the gorgeous scarf, I’ve kept things simple and styled the Pinterest version with a pair of these elegant little gold meteorite stud earrings. Handmade from sterling silver they are plated in 23.7ct gold which gives them a lovely rich, warm colour that’s great on all skin tones. There is also a silver version which can work really well for platinum blondes and those with paler skin and darker hair. They're perfect for everyday wear, when you want something understated that really does go with everything.
If you'd prefer something smaller, or for a second piercing then you can also get both of these designs in a daintier version like these mini meteorite stud earrings. I also love the Ceres stud earrings in gold plated silver and the Silver Ceres stud earrings which fit the minimalist jewellery brief with a unique stepped design inspired by Classical architecture.
